Realist vs. Idealist

This election has generated so many issues and really has energized Americans on both sides. In this I think what is happening is good. However, after listening to the attacks on Gov Palin since the announcement, I have realized a terrible truth. Democrats are idealist. It's that simple. They live and fight for what they feel is the ideal life setting and believe that simply wanting this will make it happen. What a pity.
I really never considered myself republican or democrat. But seriously, how can one believe the hype delivered by Senator Obama, Senator Biden, most of the media, and a large part of Hollywood? Does anyone listen to what they say? Ok, moviestars talk and we listen. Thats a problem. Remember, idealist. "NO WAR"! People listen, it's fight over there or over here. That is the choice. Remember 9/11? These extremists are not giving us the choice of whether we want to fight. But we can decide where. In that President Bush has wisely chosen over there. But Hollywood has always misunderstood the REALITY of this and wants people to believe there is a choice. Again, history has already proven this time and again, we fight or die.
Taxes are incredible. Fred Thompson had it right. Needs an overhaul. It's broke. Thats reality. Of course the idealist want to raise taxes and wave the magic wand and say its better. Historically they have had it wrong as they do this time.
Immigration is broke. Idealsit say its everyone right to be here and enjoy the American dream. Reality says we spend $400 billion a year for this idealistic approachllegal immigrants costs us money, social programs, schools, etc...the cost is enormous. Reality says fix this one and we are so much better off.
And then of course theres the economy. I really wish someone could explain to me why we bail out everyone around the world? This is not just an American problem. We go down so does everyone else. So why don't they belly up and chip in? Just a thought.
And then to save us more taxes and stimulate the economy, quit sending our money to other countries. We give money away and throw money at every crisis around the world. Let these countries fix themselves and save us the taxes. When our economy is back where it needs to be then we can send more money. We need to fix us first. Sorry, I don't care more for the countries around the world as much as my beloved USA. So there politicians, save us first then the rest of the world. If you can't buy into America first, kindly get out of office. Because that IDEA is REALITY!
